About the role
Accountabilities
- Support federal healthcare engagements by contributing to program planning, implementation, transformation initiatives, and mission-focused projects.
- Work with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs, design interventions, and develop practical solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
- Conduct current-state assessments and develop journey maps that clearly communicate future-state concepts and proposed improvements.
- Perform primary and secondary industry research to identify leading practices, emerging trends, and opportunities to strengthen clinical and operational programs.
- Analyze existing processes and practices, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop recommendations for process and program improvements.
- Develop high-visibility consulting deliverables, including business cases, change management and communications plans, operational manuals, program checklists, evaluation plans, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Support stakeholder meetings, facilitate discussions, organize complex information, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
- Maintain strong, solution-oriented client relationships while contributing to long-term engagement success and business development opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams while remaining adaptable to changing priorities, organizational needs, and client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience within a consulting organization, healthcare-related government entity, large integrated healthcare delivery system, or a combination of these environments.
- Demonstrated experience applying consulting methodologies such as change management, process improvement, human-centered design, environmental or market analysis, and qualitative or quantitative research.
- Strong ability to simplify complex information and translate it into clear, accessible, and actionable materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent writing, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, with experience developing business cases, operational documentation, presentation decks, and communications materials.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, establish priorities, determine appropriate next steps, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative, accountable, and high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clinical staff, program leaders, and senior executives.
- Master’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience supporting healthcare transformation initiatives, pilots, or large-scale healthcare programs is advantageous.
- Certifications such as Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Agile, or similar credentials are preferred.
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or large healthcare systems is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Ability to commute to designated federal client offices in Washington, DC, when required.
- Salary range of $80,000–$100,000 USD, with compensation determined based on location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, contract requirements, and organizational factors.
