About the role

Accountabilities

    • Serve as an Action Officer supporting Space Systems Command and Department of the Air Force campaign-planning activities.
    • Coordinate operational, logistics, acquisition, sustainment, and materiel inputs across the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, and other DoD organizations.
    • Support campaign analysis related to contested logistics, operations in degraded space environments, space reconstitution, and other emerging mission areas.
    • Engage stakeholders to identify operational requirements, capability gaps, dependencies, risks, priorities, and areas requiring further analysis.
    • Analyze operational concepts, threat information, logistics considerations, and future capability requirements to support strategic decision-making.
    • Develop campaign roadmaps, action trackers, decision logs, coordination products, and other planning materials.
    • Identify capability gaps, overlaps, and dependencies and contribute to priority-setting and investment recommendations.
    • Prepare senior-leader briefings, analytical papers, decision materials, presentations, and other executive communications.
    • Facilitate working groups and executive engagements while accurately capturing decisions, actions, requirements, and emerging issues.
    • Support rapid-turn analysis, special studies, and emerging readiness or campaign-planning requirements.
    • Coordinate across functional communities and organizational boundaries to maintain alignment and ensure timely delivery of mission objectives.
    • Perform classified work within Government-accredited facilities and approved secure information systems when required.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a master's degree preferred.
      • 12+ years of relevant experience supporting Department of Defense operations, logistics, sustainment, acquisition, strategic planning, or related mission areas.
      • Demonstrated experience working in DoD operational, logistics, or strategic planning environments.
      • Experience coordinating complex initiatives across organizations, functional communities, program offices, military Services, or headquarters organizations.
      • Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear recommendations.
      • Experience developing executive-level briefings, presentations, analytical papers, decision materials, or similar products for Government leadership.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior military, civilian, technical, and executive stakeholders.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-tempo environment.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
      • Experience supporting the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command, Headquarters Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, a Combatant Command, or comparable headquarters organization is highly desirable.
      • Familiarity with the Joint Planning Process (JPP), operational campaign planning, force design, capability development, or Program Objective Memorandum activities is preferred.
      • Knowledge of contested logistics, protracted conflict, readiness, sustainment, operations, or related operational challenges is advantageous.
      • Experience integrating classified operational or intelligence information into planning and analysis is preferred.
      • Experience supporting cross-functional working groups involving operations, logistics, intelligence, acquisition, or technology stakeholders is desirable.
      • Experience preparing materials for General Officer/Flag Officer or Senior Executive Service audiences is a plus.
      • Familiarity with classified DoD networks such as SIPRNet or JWICS and experience working in a SCIF environment are desirable.
      • Active Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility is required.
      • U.S. citizenship is required.
      • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel of up to 25%.
