Senior Mobile Developer (Android)

Join Sony Sports Technology as a Senior Mobile Developer (Android) to support the development of an in-house mobile application used in live sports tracking and testing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and modernise an existing Android application
• Improve performance, stability, and user experience
• Work directly with mobile camera pipelines using the Android Camera 2 API
• Integrate and run machine learning models on-device for ball tracking and player tracking
• Optimise threading models, lifecycle management, and performance for real-time workloads
• Participate in occasional hands-on testing at live sports venues

Requirements

• Experience with Android development using Kotlin
• Expertise with camera pipelines and real-time video capture
• Knowledge of on-device machine learning integration
• Experience with Android Camera 2 API

Work Arrangement

Hybrid working with minimum 2 days per week in office. Office locations: Basingstoke, London, or Bristol.
