In this role as Senior Analytics Engineer, you will strategically evolve the data warehouse from a functioning MVP setup to a scalable, robust, and future-proof platform. This is not just about pipelines, but above all about strong data models, high quality standards, performant transformations, and a warehouse the business can rely on. You will work with a high degree of autonomy, technical depth, and a clear focus on delivering business value.
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of the data warehouse and continuously develop its architecture, data models, and quality standards
- Use dbt strategically: from modular modeling, tests, documentation, and refactoring to reusable patterns with Jinja, and establish best practices within the team
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the Redshift-based warehouse and help professionalize the platform for the long term
- Develop new data pipelines and take responsibility for their clean orchestration and stable operation in Airflow
- Contribute best practices in governance and observability, further develop standards for data quality, ownership, monitoring, and documentation
- Ensure that issues are identified early and addressed reliably
Your Profile
- Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a comparable role with work on further development of modern data platforms
- Very strong SQL skills with expertise in dbt, data modeling, complex transformations, and performance optimization
- Work according to modern engineering best practices with curiosity to pragmatically use new tools, automation, and AI-supported approaches
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or comparable technologies
- Ideally have experience with Airflow, monitoring, and stable operation of data workflows
- Strong engineering skills combined with curiosity about business processes and ability to think in terms of data products and standards
- Ambition to actively shape governance, quality, and transparency of a data platform
