About the role
Accountabilities:
- Deliver customer and account-level insights supporting Key Account Management, deal performance, commercial strategy, and broader business objectives.
- Execute and enhance connected account-planning capabilities across Field Sales, Key Account Management, Marketing, Finance, and other commercial functions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve KPIs and analytics measuring KAM effectiveness, productivity, deal performance, and commercial execution.
- Produce accurate, timely, intuitive reporting and executive-level analytics that enable informed decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze account, customer, financial, contracting, product, competitive, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, gaps, and performance improvements.
- Partner with Data Science, Solutions, IT, Insights, and Offer Development teams to automate manual processes, eliminate redundancies, and scale analytics capabilities.
- Support strategic business and financial planning, ongoing performance measurement, targeting, and optimization at the system and customer level.
- Track deal performance, maintain account rosters, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
- Provide metrics and assessments linked to commercial strategy, deal excellence, and performance targets, while promoting shared accountability and adoption of insights.
- Act as a change agent for commercial transformation initiatives, helping Field Sales and Key Account Management teams adopt new tools, processes, and analytical approaches.
- Build strong relationships across Sales, KAM, Business Units, Marketing, Finance, IT, Pricing Strategy, and Contract Execution teams.
- Share best practices, business insights, and recommendations across the organization while contributing to continuous improvement of analytics capabilities.
- Support a collaborative team environment by encouraging knowledge sharing, recognizing contributions, and helping evolve customer insights practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required; an MBA, MS, or other advanced degree, particularly in healthcare, is preferred.
- At least 4 years of professional or industry experience, including a minimum of 3 years in Finance, analytics, data analysis, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
- Experience with data analysis techniques and tools such as SPSS, SAS, Python, or R.
- Strong understanding of data analytics and the field sales and contracting landscape, with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
- Experience supporting or leading cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed, and continuously evolving organizations.
- Ability to identify gaps in systems, processes, and tools and develop practical solutions that improve efficiency and sales-force effectiveness.
- Strong project management, creative thinking, problem-solving, influencing, consensus-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop strategic approaches and translate them into practical initiatives, including sales planning and performance tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly to stakeholders and leaders at different organizational levels.
- Knowledge of Key Account Management planning, deal performance, sales and contracting processes, and commercial execution is highly desirable.
- Experience with agile methodologies, product development processes, Marketing, Field Sales, Information Technology, or Information Management is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern data and cloud technologies such as Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, or ETL environments is a plus.
- Prior leadership or significant partnering experience with Field Sales, IT, Contracting, Marketing, or related commercial organizations is advantageous.
- Approximately 15% domestic travel is expected.
- Base salary range of $79,000–$127,650, with actual compensation determined by factors including qualifications, experience, and location.
