Senior Accountant

About the Role

Motive is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting as the company continues to scale. You will report into Accounting Manager and take ownership of accounting activities, close processes, reconciliations, and cross-functional projects that support the department’s objectives.This role is well suited for an analytical accountant who can manage complex work independently, identify opportunities to improve processes, and serve as a trusted accounting partner across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses.
• Own accounting processes across assigned areas and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with US GAAP.
• Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reporting processes.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Legal, and other teams to resolve accounting issues and communicate recommendations.
• Support internal and external audits, technical accounting analyses, and other cross-functional projects.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience working with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• CPA certification or public accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex projects with limited oversight.
