Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Job Purpose Assists in the preparation of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting requirements of the company, which encompass both external (SEC-format) and internal management reporting . Participates in the overall consolidation and closing process for DNOW ’s domestic and international legal entities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive) Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports. These reports include the annual (10-K), quarterly (10-Q) , and periodic (8-K) reports that are required (in SEC-format ). Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules. Assist in the preparation of Board of Directors and Board Committee materials. Assist with internal controls over financial reporting. Review and analyze GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of internal management reports. Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries. Research to determine the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions/technical accounting issues. Establish excellent rapport with management, corporate employees, branch employees, vendors, and customers using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills. Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit , and purpose of the job. Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.
