🚀 Senior Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in a fully remote role. This position will lead day-to-day bookkeeping activities and support the preparation and review of U.S. tax returns. The ideal candidate has strong experience with U.S. tax compliance, bookkeeping, and reviewing the work of other team members while maintaining high quality standards.
💰 Salary: USD $1,655/month 🏠 Modality: Fully Remote 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time
🕒 Work Schedule: • Monday to Friday • 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Philippine Time)
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting • Perform and review bookkeeping activities, including transaction coding, account reconciliations, and cleanup projects. • Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee month-end close processes. • Prepare and review workpapers and supporting documentation according to company standards.
Tax Compliance & Review • Prepare U.S. individual and business tax returns. • Support tax planning and tax compliance projects. • Review tax returns prepared by team members for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation. • Identify discrepancies, risks, and tax-saving opportunities, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Quality Control & Coaching • Provide detailed review notes and constructive feedback to team members. • Help improve preparer accuracy, consistency, and overall work quality.
Client & Engagement Management • Request, track, and follow up on outstanding client information. • Identify missing documentation early to keep engagements on schedule.
Team Collaboration & Process Improvement • Work closely with internal team members to resolve accounting and tax-related questions. • Support workflow management, file organization, and process improvement initiatives.
🛠️ Qualifications: • 3 to 6 years of U.S. tax and bookkeeping experience. • Experience preparing U.S. individual and business tax returns. • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. • Experience reviewing the work of other accountants or tax preparers. • Ability to identify issues, provide solutions, and maintain high-quality standards. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred. • Experience with Lacerte tax software is preferred.
