About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people undergoing EHC Needs Assessments and Reviews.
- Coordinate multi-agency input from Education, Health and Social Care professionals.
- Ensure statutory timescales are met in compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Communicate professionally with parents, schools, settings and external partners.
- Review, quality-check and update education, health and care information as part of the EHCP process.
- Attend and contribute to Annual Review meetings and SEND Panels.
- Ensure accurate documentation, case notes and decision-making records.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a SEND Case Officer or similar Local Authority role.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse multi-agency reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Confident using case management systems and handling sensitive information.
