SAP HCM Payroll Support, Specialist

Accountabilities:

• • Provide expert functional guidance and support throughout SAP HCM Payroll implementation activities, ensuring solutions align with established standards, best practices, and client requirements.
  • Configure and customize SAP Payroll functionality based on customer needs, and conduct system testing to validate functionality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Support payroll implementation projects by managing priorities effectively and ensuring activities are completed within agreed timelines and milestones.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Track project progress and maintain appropriate documentation while supporting project team members as required.
  • Apply a strong understanding of HR business processes and SAP HCM architecture to deliver effective payroll solutions within defined project timelines.
  • Support go-live preparation and activities, helping ensure payroll systems are fully tested, stable, and ready for production use.
  • Handle sensitive payroll and employee information with appropriate discretion and professionalism.

  Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP HCM, particularly SAP Payroll, gained through professional implementation or support projects.
  • Experience delivering 2–3 successful SAP HCM support or implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of European payroll processes and configuration, with expertise in at least one of Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure and support SAP HCM Payroll solutions while maintaining a high standard of quality and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of HR business processes and SAP HCM architecture.
  • Strong project organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively to project milestones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client-service orientation and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • High level of accountability, ownership, and attention to detail, particularly when working with sensitive payroll information.
  • Professional fluency in English is required; German language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science & Technology, or a related field.
