About the role
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, configure, enhance, and support SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions, processing flows, workflows, and event-processing logic.
- Build data transformation, enrichment, routing, filtering, aggregation, normalization, validation, and error-handling processes for high-volume usage and event data.
- Develop solutions that identify and manage duplicate, invalid, or incomplete usage records while maintaining accurate downstream charging and billing data.
- Develop and maintain integrations between SAP Convergent Mediation and SAP Convergent Charging (CC), SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI), SAP FI-CA, SAP S/4HANA, CRM platforms, and external network or event systems.
- Build and support APIs, middleware integrations, file-based interfaces, and real-time event-processing solutions in collaboration with integration architects and middleware teams.
- Analyze and optimize mediation workflows and processing engines for scalability, throughput, and reliability in high-volume transactional environments.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, resolve processing issues, support capacity planning, and implement improvements to system efficiency.
- Develop custom scripts, automation routines, and technical enhancements, including Linux/Unix scripting, batch-processing optimization, and operational workflow automation.
- Design and execute unit, integration, performance, and UAT testing, validating event-processing accuracy, mediation outputs, and integration functionality.
- Troubleshoot defects and production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support deployments, maintenance, and go-live activities.
- Monitor production environments and contribute to operational reporting, reconciliation, system monitoring, and ongoing reliability improvements.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, mediation-flow documentation, integration diagrams, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- Ensure solutions follow enterprise security, development, governance, operational, audit, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with SAP BRIM architects, Convergent Charging developers, data migration teams, BASIS administrators, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical workshops, Agile delivery activities, knowledge-transfer sessions, and initiatives that improve development and production-support practices.
- 7–16 years of professional experience in software development, SAP technologies, integration, billing systems, or related technical environments, with relevant hands-on experience in SAP Convergent Mediation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong practical experience designing, developing, configuring, and supporting SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions and event-processing flows.
- Experience working with high-volume usage and event data, including transformation, normalization, validation, enrichment, filtering, routing, aggregation, and error handling.
- Strong understanding of SAP BRIM and experience integrating SAP Convergent Mediation with Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, S/4HANA, CRM, and external systems.
- Experience developing and supporting APIs, middleware, file-based interfaces, and real-time event-processing integrations.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, throughput optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity considerations for transactional processing environments.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix scripting, automation, batch processing, and operational workflow optimization.
- Experience with unit, integration, performance, and UAT testing, including defect analysis, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and support production environments through deployments, maintenance, go-live activities, monitoring, and reconciliation.
- Strong documentation skills, with experience producing technical specifications, process documentation, integration diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Understanding of enterprise security, governance, compliance, and development standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to diagnose complex technical and integration issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and production-support teams.
- Comfortable working in a remote, Agile, cross-functional environment and providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to colleagues.
