Salesforce Administrator II
About the role
Essential Job Duties
First, let us tell you a few neat things about this position. Drum roll please...This is not a position that comes around every day. Plus, our structure of Salesforce Administration is entirely different from most places. You do not report into Sales Operations, in fact, you do not report into Sales at all; you actually would report into the Technical Operations department which is under our centralized Business Operations umbrella. This is an impactful differentiator for a number of reasons - your time is protected (the goal is to have more time for proactive projects than what you spend on reactive ad hoc tasks), you are a partner rather than a support-function to the many internal stakeholders you work with (sales, marketing, operations groups), AND finally - being in Technical Operations enables you to help make Salesforce the platform technology we utilize it as (SalesCloud, ServiceCloud, etc.) by lessening conflicting department-specific priorities. If all that fun stuff wasn't eye-catching enough, let's just call out two more things. You will have work life balance in this role (not a joke, we're for reals), and the way we utilize Salesforce and our many integrations (Greenhouse, NetSuite, Marketo, etc.) means you will get exposure and gain technical know-how that takes some many years due to being siloed.
Now onto the specifics! As a Salesforce Administrator you will manage the Salesforce application, configuring integrations, creating and managing custom fields and objects, and maintaining data cleanliness. In addition, you will partner with the other operations teams in BizOps to create new processes as well as add enhancements to existing processes. Salesforce is one of our main platform technologies and the big goal is to have a 360 view of all the data to make our customer and employee experience as efficient and effective as possible.
You will:
- Provide day-to-day end user support of Salesforce.com including providing best practices and tips on Salesforce usage (training and documentation as necessary)
- Perform administrator functions in Lightning such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management
- Manage and customize dashboards, reports, forms templates, page layouts, flows, and approvals, create and maintain custom objects, object relationships, standard and custom fields
- Integrate, manage and maintain third party apps and make recommendations on tools that will provide better user experience and efficiency
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and corresponding documentation and provide new functionality and solutions as needed — including actively tracking and evaluating new AI-powered features as Salesforce continues to expand its Einstein and Agentforce capabilities
- Contribute to strategic and impactful projects (including project meetings, research, scoping time, documentation, building flows in Lucidcharts, etc.)
- Plan sprints in Wrike to work towards c
