SAIL Case Manager Supervisor

Accountabilities:

• • Provide direct supervision, performance management, leadership development, and clinical consultation to SAIL Case Managers within the assigned area.
  • Maintain effective relationships with government points of contact and communicate program concerns, personnel matters, policy questions, and contract issues to senior leadership.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure staffing, service delivery, documentation, reporting, and operational activities remain aligned with program requirements.
  • Conduct regular SAIL record reviews, quality-control activities, audits, and clinical consultations while supporting required quarterly quality-assurance processes.
  • Recruit, interview, select, onboard, and support SAIL Case Managers and Social Service Associates in accordance with established hiring and contract procedures.
  • Ensure staff have the resources, training, guidance, and support required to perform their responsibilities effectively.
  • Provide training on SAIL documentation, policies, procedures, clinical protocols, and applicable program guidance.
  • Review and approve timesheets, monitor leave schedules, support employee engagement, and address performance or compliance concerns.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting and identify potential contractual or operational risks requiring escalation and corrective action.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying challenges, developing solutions, monitoring program changes, and maintaining compliance with applicable standards.
  • Step into the SAIL Case Manager role when necessary to support client needs during staff absences or vacancies.
  • Maintain effective communication with military leadership, government stakeholders, clinical teams, and internal management while protecting confidentiality and exercising sound professional judgment.

  Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy from an appropriately accredited program, or a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology with the required accredited clinical internship.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted clinical licensure or certification permitting independent practice, such as LCSW, LMFT, LCP, LPC, LCPC, or LMHC, as applicable.
  • Current clinical credentials and privileges must be maintained throughout the assignment, with professional and ethical conduct consistent with the applicable licensing board.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time, post-licensure clinical experience, including recent direct clinical service experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience supervising or managing licensed mental health professionals.
  • At least 2 years of clinical case-management experience and at least 1 year delivering clinical services through telehealth.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience managing crises involving suicidal clients, developing safety plans, and assessing suicide risk.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation requirements, Microsoft Office, telehealth practices, military and community referral resources, and behavioral health case management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic populations and remain composed in high-stress situations.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people, provide constructive feedback, support professional development, and lead through change.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with military life, SAIL or FFSC case management, short-term counseling, and communication with senior military leadership is preferred.
  • Must be physically located within reasonable commuting distance of a military installation and have reliable transportation where required for access to government facilities or assigned locations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for positions involving access to U.S. Government facilities and systems.
  • Must be able to work outside standard business hours when needed and maintain a dedicated, secure, private workspace suitable for telehealth services and staff supervision.
