About the role
Job Summary
The Regional Vice President I will support the sales team in building relationships with prospective clients and helping them find a wealth management solution for their needs, driving sales momentum within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Essential Job Functions for this role include:
- Support the fast-growing, dynamic sales team
- Own your sales pipeline from start to finish, converting and nurturing potential clients to create a best-in-class experience for every potential client
- Assist in identifying and qualifying potential clients to ensure they are a good fit for Mercer Advisors
- Engage with potential clients over Zoom, phone, and/or in person to understand their needs and share how Mercer can help
- Actively participate in your own growth, soliciting and incorporating feedback into your conversations with potential clients and participating in team trainings or activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of successful sales experience in financial services
- Series 65 or Series 66 license – unless you hold one of the following designations and it qualifies for an exemption to the Series 65 in the applicable state(s): Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC)
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and managing sales pipelines
- Excellent communication, presentation, listening and analytical skills.
- Experience building relationships with and understanding the needs of potential clients
- Self-motivated, highly coachable attitude with a growth-oriented mindset and drive
- Deep understanding of financial services industry and investment management
- Passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals
- Proven time management and organizational skills
