About the role
Accountabilities
- Drive sales growth across an assigned regional territory, promoting equipment, labels, and consumable products to new and existing customers.
- Own the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, customer discovery, solution development, negotiation, and closing.
- Identify new business opportunities through outbound sales calls, lead follow-up, networking, account development, and other effective prospecting methods.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers by understanding their operational needs, challenges, and business requirements.
- Develop consultative solutions that align customer needs with relevant equipment, labeling, and consumable offerings.
- Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Expand existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities and strengthening relationships with key customer stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of product lines, industry trends, competitive activity, and market developments.
- Monitor competitors and use market intelligence to identify opportunities and strengthen sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and customer information using established company tools and processes.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline while prioritizing opportunities according to potential value and probability of close.
- Negotiate effectively and move qualified opportunities toward timely and profitable closure.
- Represent the organization professionally at customer meetings, presentations, industry events, and other relevant engagements.
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, with travel expected to reach up to 80%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in territory management with a strong track record of account development and revenue growth.
- Demonstrated success in business development, prospecting, consultative selling, and closing complex sales.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and consultative selling capabilities, with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
- Strong time-management, organizational, prioritization, and pipeline-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Practical experience using CRM systems for opportunity management, forecasting, account tracking, and sales reporting.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while taking ownership of regional sales performance.
- Strong commercial drive, initiative, resilience, and a demonstrated commitment to achieving ambitious sales goals.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including up to 80% within the assigned territory.
- Experience selling industrial or automated equipment is strongly preferred.
- Experience within the food industry or selling equipment to food manufacturing customers is advantageous.
- Exposure to or experience with automated equipment sales is preferred.
- Experience selling labels, consumables, or related industrial products is a plus.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to communicate technical or product-related information effectively to different audiences.
