Python Senior Engineer

Accountabilities:

• • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions using Python and modern engineering practices.
  • Build and integrate backend services using Python, JavaScript, SQL, and REST APIs.
  • Design efficient database schemas, develop stored procedures, and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
  • Apply strong object-oriented programming principles and sound software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and services using AWS.
  • Build, package, and deploy applications using Docker and modern containerization practices.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to translate technical and business requirements into reliable solutions.
  • Use GitHub or Bitbucket to manage source code, collaborate through version control workflows, and maintain high-quality development practices.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance improvements, and continuous technical optimization.
  • Apply clean-code principles and, where appropriate, SOLID design principles to create maintainable and extensible software.
  • Work with modern technologies and frameworks as required, potentially including Pyramid, TypeScript, Snowflake, SQLAlchemy, Kubernetes, and OAuth 2.0.
  • Participate in an agile, collaborative environment and contribute to knowledge sharing, technical discussions, and continuous improvement.

  Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Python.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python along with practical experience using JavaScript, SQL, and REST APIs.
  • Strong SQL expertise, including database schema design, query performance tuning, and stored procedures.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and Docker-based environments.
  • Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, or comparable source-control and collaborative development platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to diagnose technical issues and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with distributed international teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible, remote-first environment and manage responsibilities with a high degree of ownership.
  • Experience with Pyramid, TypeScript, Snowflake, SQLAlchemy, Kubernetes, OAuth 2.0, SOLID principles, or VS Code is considered an advantage.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and comfort collaborating across cultures and time zones.
