About the role
Accountabilities
- Lead and support technical implementation activities for customer and partner engagements, translating requirements into effective cloud-based solutions while following established professional services methodologies and standards.
- Provide technical consultation throughout project delivery, including solution configuration, execution of project tasks, test-plan validation, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and regular communication of project status.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Quality Assurance teams, customers, and partners to ensure projects remain on track and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Support post-go-live operations, including production troubleshooting, customer environment management, operational service management, and maintenance activities as required.
- Assess complex implementations, identify potential risks and problem areas proactively, and recommend practical solutions that improve performance, reliability, and customer outcomes.
- Provide remote or onsite support for customer escalations, taking ownership of technical issues and maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach in challenging situations.
- Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to internal and external stakeholders, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects or engagements when required, adapting priorities according to business and customer needs while maintaining strong follow-through, utilization, quality, and delivery standards.
- Maintain accurate timesheets, expense reports, project documentation, status updates, and other administrative requirements associated with professional services delivery.
- Stay current with new product capabilities, industry standards, cloud technologies, and relevant certifications through ongoing learning, training, lab development, and collaboration with experienced consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional technical experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in technical consulting, cloud implementation, enterprise technology, or a similar professional services environment.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Genesys Cloud implementation and/or administration, with the ability to demonstrate strong practical knowledge of the platform.
- Experience delivering customer-facing technology projects, including the ability to collaborate with customers, manage escalations, communicate technical information clearly, and work effectively in fast-paced project environments.
- Strong understanding of HTTP requests, REST web services, JSON, cloud technologies, networking, IP telephony, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Genesys Cloud Edge, AudioCodes, Cisco gateways, IP telephones, DHCP/DNS, Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Wireshark, Microsoft Office, and related enterprise tools.
- Experience with Genesys digital channels such as Email, SMS, chatbots, or social media is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or other network routing and switching technologies is beneficial.
- Programming or scripting experience with Java, C#/.NET, Python, PHP, web application development, or related technologies is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services or other cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities, with the judgment and persistence required to troubleshoot challenging configurations and production environments.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and manage customer escalations effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, ownership, accountability, time management, and follow-through.
- Ability to operate effectively within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to adjust working hours according to customer and team requirements; flexibility to support North American working hours, including coverage until approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, is an advantage.
- Willingness to take on operational service management responsibilities and manage customer environments when business needs require it.
