About the role
Accountabilities
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation and migration programs in close partnership with C-level executives, client transformation leaders, and senior technology stakeholders.
- Identify business drivers, strategic goals, and transformation opportunities, developing compelling business cases, proposals, and executive-ready recommendations tied to measurable outcomes.
- Develop architecture strategies, transformation roadmaps, execution plans, and governance frameworks in collaboration with technology, consulting, engineering, product, and program management teams.
- Lead large-scale migration initiatives through assessment, planning, solution development, execution, and transition into steady-state operations.
- Manage transitions of operational responsibility, including complex colocation and public cloud environments, while maintaining continuity and consistency during organizational or technology changes.
- Facilitate discovery, assessment, and solution-development workshops with client and internal teams to understand requirements and design effective transformation strategies.
- Develop and document target-state solutions, reference architectures, frameworks, and templates that address both technical and business requirements.
- Present technical solutions, transformation strategies, and business cases to audiences ranging from engineers and technical teams to executives and board-level stakeholders.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with clients by providing informed recommendations based on technology expertise, operational insight, and previous transformation experience.
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities while maintaining accountability for program outcomes, timelines, governance, and execution.
- Partner with product and program management teams to identify appropriate product enhancements and influence technology roadmaps based on client needs.
- Monitor and communicate program budgets, expenses, cost savings, and financial performance across major transformation initiatives.
- Promote collaboration across diverse internal and external teams, helping align technology capabilities and organizational resources around client objectives.
- 12+ years of experience leading technology initiatives in hosting, cloud, managed services, or related environments, preferably within a service provider or cloud managed services organization.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience spanning enterprise IT, consulting, engineering, development, transformation, or large-scale migration programs.
- Proven experience planning and leading complex enterprise IT transformation and change-management programs involving multiple stakeholders, technologies, and organizational functions.
- Strong experience designing, building, and operating global IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and technology services.
- Demonstrated expertise delivering enterprise IT professional services, cloud services, or technology transformation programs.
- Exceptional business acumen with the ability to understand client objectives, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into compelling technology strategies.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with C-suite and board-level executives as well as technology leaders, engineers, developers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Strong program leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail in complex transformation environments.
- Advanced presentation and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable influencing decisions and driving execution across cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct authority.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and results orientation, with the ability to work effectively across different organizations, cultures, management levels, and personalities.
- Independent, self-directed, and adaptable, with strong empathy, self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to challenge established approaches using compelling insights and data while maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as hybrid cloud environments.
- Annual base salary of $140,000–$180,000, depending on skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs.
- Eligibility for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
