About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Act as a subject matter expert in supplier negotiation and contracting, bringing structure, commercial discipline, and execution focus to procurement activities.
    • Develop and execute negotiation and contracting strategies using spend data, market intelligence, supplier cost drivers, commodity movements, and contract terms.
    • Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, renewals, amendments, service expectations, and other business conditions.
    • Partner with Legal to draft, review, redline, and negotiate master agreements, amendments, renewals, and related contract documentation, while owning commercial terms and stakeholder alignment.
    • Identify procurement optimization opportunities, develop compelling business cases, align stakeholders, and drive approved initiatives through implementation.
    • Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Operations, senior leadership, and suppliers to manage trade-offs, communicate recommendations, and resolve decisions efficiently.
    • Manage multiple negotiation, contracting, renewal, and optimization workstreams simultaneously, maintaining visibility into milestones, risks, decisions, deadlines, and next steps.
    • Identify opportunities for savings, cost avoidance, contract improvements, and supplier optimization and translate them into measurable business outcomes.
    • Support continuous improvement of strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contracting processes across the procurement organization.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in procurement, supply chain, business, finance, or a related discipline.
      • Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supplier management, commercial contracting, or a closely related field.
      • Strong understanding of the end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle, including sourcing strategy, RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and supplier selection.
      • Demonstrated experience leading supplier negotiations involving pricing, commercial terms, renewals, amendments, and other business conditions.
      • Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, with experience drafting or redlining business terms and collaborating effectively with Legal teams.
      • Ability to analyze spend data, market intelligence, supplier economics, commodity movements, and contract provisions to uncover negotiation and optimization opportunities.
      • Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations and measurable results.
      • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and competing priorities.
      • Strong project management skills, including ownership of timelines, stakeholder input, risks, decisions, supplier follow-up, and deliverables.
      • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain commercial opportunities, trade-offs, and recommendations.
      • Strong influencing and stakeholder-management capabilities, particularly when working across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Operations, suppliers, and senior leadership.
      • Proficiency with procurement, sourcing, analytics, contract management, or digital procurement platforms is preferred.
      • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and carry them through execution.
      • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration across functions and organizational levels.
