About the role
Accountabilities:
- Coordinate technical activities across application, platform, infrastructure, data, security, operations, and third-party teams, ensuring dependencies and follow-ups are clearly tracked through completion.
- Support the triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues, participating in root cause analysis and helping teams identify sustainable solutions.
- Translate business and operational requirements into well-defined technical problems, working with engineers and architects to clarify requirements and align on appropriate approaches.
- Participate in technical working sessions, architecture discussions, and design reviews, identifying gaps, risks, dependencies, and areas requiring escalation.
- Support engineering teams throughout development, integration, testing, and release activities by helping remove technical blockers and maintain alignment with requirements and standards.
- Review solution designs for completeness and established architectural standards, while supporting validation of performance, resiliency, monitoring, logging, auditability, and security requirements.
- Support AI use-case intake and technical assessment by evaluating feasibility, data readiness, integration requirements, architectural fit, and operational considerations.
- Collaborate with AI governance teams to ensure proposed AI solutions follow appropriate review processes, controls, and organizational guardrails, routing use cases to the relevant architecture, governance, or platform teams.
- Support integrated testing and user acceptance testing from a technical-readiness perspective, including defect identification, triage, and resolution coordination.
- Coordinate technical activities involving vendors and third parties, including integrations, upgrades, implementations, and related issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, design notes, requirements, operational artifacts, and status reporting for stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify recurring technical challenges and recommend improvements to tools, architecture patterns, workflows, and engineering processes.
- Provide clear, timely updates on technical status, risks, issues, dependencies, and resolution plans to technical leads, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience; a master’s degree in business, information systems, public health, computer science, or a related field is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or related technical roles, preferably within the healthcare payer industry or another complex enterprise environment.
- Proven experience leading or coordinating software and systems development initiatives within structured organizations, with exposure to both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong experience across architecture and implementation-level software design, requirements capture, analysis, and process improvement.
- Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and configuration, together with knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience evaluating or designing AI use cases, including the ability to assess technical feasibility, data requirements, integration considerations, and architectural fit.
- Strong understanding of complex enterprise design patterns and the ability to whiteboard solutions and guide cross-functional technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot large, complex enterprise applications using appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence teams, coordinate stakeholders, and drive initiatives toward defined outcomes.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at multiple levels of management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare payer systems, standards, protocols, regulations, and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Demonstrated curiosity and initiative to quickly learn new technologies, concepts, architectures, and technical approaches.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Cloud, PEGA, Salesforce, or comparable technology credentials are a plus.
- Competitive annual compensation range of $105,958.12 to $229,575.94, with actual compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skills.
