About the role
Accountabilities
- Serve as the trusted advisor and primary administrative partner to the physician organization, building strong relationships and ensuring physician needs, concerns, and priorities are understood and addressed.
- Execute strategic and operational initiatives that support physician operations, clinical innovation, and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate physician administration activities and facilitate communication, alignment, and follow-through across clinical and operational teams.
- Manage administrative operations related to physician support, clinical governance, compliance, and quality programs.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects involving physicians, operational leaders, technology teams, and administrative staff, tracking timelines, deliverables, and performance outcomes.
- Partner with physicians and operational leaders to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency across physician operations.
- Support physician engagement, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical, technology, and operational stakeholders to drive adoption of new tools, workflows, and processes, providing progress updates and outcome reporting to executive leadership.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of clinical policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Coordinate innovation initiatives, pilot programs, and process improvements designed to strengthen clinical operations and patient care outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, providing constructive feedback, recognizing achievements, and addressing performance issues when appropriate.
- Assess staffing needs and partner with HR on recruiting, hiring, and seamless onboarding of new employees.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-first workplace culture aligned with organizational values and objectives.
- Make well-informed strategic decisions while managing operational, budgetary, and financial activities within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in healthcare administration, physician operations, project management, clinical operations, or a closely related field.
- Experience supporting physician leadership and managing cross-functional healthcare initiatives is preferred.
- Experience in imaging, radiology, or other clinical healthcare environments is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across clinical and operational teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience interpreting operational and performance data.
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems, including PACS, RIS, EMR, and related clinical technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team-development capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems.
- Strong judgment, collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with physicians, executives, operational leaders, and administrative teams.
- Remote, full-time position with salary-exempt status.
