About the role

Payroll Coordinator

As Payroll Coordinator you will be responsible for contributing to the completion of the weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes including validating the accuracy of earnings, deductions, tax withholdings and garnishments for large volume payrolls and multiple legal entities. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily payroll operations for a complex, rapidly growing organization of over 10,000 employees.
  • Answer employee questions concerning payroll related manners (i.e. paychecks and W-2s).
  • Assist with keeping tax records up to date and accurate.
  • Assist with tax research when needed.
  • Stay up to date with U.S. payroll regulations, payroll tax laws, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations and timely payroll tax setup and filings.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in payroll operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational time management skills to manage multiple, diverse, and potentially conflicting priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, IRS guidelines, etc.). Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • Experience with payroll systems, particularly Oracle and ADP Smart Compliance.

What You Will Bring to the Table

  • Direct experience with payroll processing, including multi-state and international payroll tax compliance
  • 2+ years managing high-volume payrolls across multiple legal entities
  • Oracle HCM experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change during periods of rapid organizational growth
  • Adaptability to thrive in a hyper-growth environment, with a strong drive for continuous learning and improvement
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and process complex information, delivering solutions that align with business and compliance requirements under tight deadlines
  • Proven cross-functional leadership, prioritization, and collaboration skills
  • Effective negotiation and consensus-building abilities, with experience working across diverse teams
