Job Summary
This role is responsible for addressing member, client and provider inquiries related to balance bills and appeals, with an emphasis on educating members of the Patient Advocacy Center process. You will match daily volumes of incoming client claims to the correct provider using an in-house web-based application.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage main phone line and answer all inquiries
- Ensure member inquiries are addressed timely with appropriate education
- Ensure clear documentation of events associated to medical claims
- Manage daily running inventory of claims, prioritizing work schedule accordingly
- Address all emails, incoming calls and inquiries, directing specific inquiries to appropriate parties
- Receive, review and forward incoming mail
- Send letters to members, record contact information and request necessary documents from clients
- Keep the Lead Patient Advocate informed of critical matters
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and unobstructed workplace environment
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements
- Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values
Work Schedule
This is a fully remote position available in Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific time zones with the following schedule options:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PT
- 9:00 am to 6:00 pm MT
- 10:00 am to 7:00 pm CT
- 11:00 am to 8:00 pm ET
