Planet is seeking a Partner Business Manager to expand and refine our ecosystem within the European Defense & Intelligence (D&I) sector. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and sourcing new strategic partnerships across the EMEA region that align with the mission-critical needs of our D&I business group. You will act as a pivotal cross-functional collaborator, working alongside Sales, Pre-sales, Customer Success, and Business Development to integrate partner solutions into large-scale customer contracts. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives at the intersection of high-growth technology and national security, ensuring our partners are equipped to deliver Planet’s high-frequency imagery to those who need it most.
This is a full-time, remote position based in Europe. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.
Impact You’ll Own
- Identify and recruit high-value partners (technology, AI and analytic companies in the geospatial sector) across EMEA tailored to D&I requirements.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic partners, driving joint business plans and Go-To-Market strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales and Pre-sales to support partner-related components of key government tenders and contracts.
- Partner daily with Customer Success and Business Development teams to ensure seamless delivery of Planet solutions enabled by partnerships.
- Uphold Planet’s mission by enabling transparent, timely geospatial data to support global security and humanitarian efforts.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of experience in the Defense & Intelligence sector, with a clear understanding of European defense or geospatial ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Background in Partnership Management or Business Development, specifically managing complex, multi-stakeholder alliances.
- Ability to navigate the EMEA market, including an understanding of regional regulatory or sovereign requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical concepts with strategic business objectives.
- A collaborative mindset to work effectively across globally distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel across the EMEA region to engage with partners and attend industry symposiums.
