Newsroom Editor / Media Analyst (w/m/d) in Teilzeit (50%) - Berlin oder remote

About the Role

We are looking for an analytically minded person with interest in data-driven media analysis and new technologies to strengthen our team. This role is suitable for both career starters and students (approx. 20h/week) who want to gain practical experience in media analytics.

The position focuses on evening shift work and structured analysis and preparation of media content.

Your Profile

• Ongoing or completed studies (e.g., social sciences, media, data, business, or similar)
• Interest in media analysis, data work, and analytical questions
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, or processes
• Independent, structured working style and high attention to detail
• Good German and English language skills
• Secure handling of common tools (Mac, G Suite, Slack)
• Advantageous: First experience with AI tools, automation, or data-driven work (e.g., Excel, AI tools)

Your Responsibilities

• Practically implement the social science method of media content analysis (focus: text analysis)
• Independently code media contributions from print, online, radio, TV, and social media and analyze them in a structured manner
• Write summaries, particularly for social media content
• Support the automation of analysis processes (e.g., coding, data preparation)
• Work on quantitative and qualitative media analyses in the Insights team
• Support data evaluation, create graphics, and write analytical texts (if suitable and interested)

Working Hours

• Preferred work in late shift with shifts of approximately 4 hours between 15:00 and 23:00
• 1-2 weekend assignments per month (Saturday or Sunday), planned in advance with corresponding compensation during the week
