About the role

Accountabilities

    • Communicate the vision, strategy, priorities, and objectives of the MTDC Project Management Organization across the broader organization.
    • Provide strategic leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the project management organization supporting strategic data center customers.
    • Lead program leaders, project managers, and data center site representatives, creating clear expectations and fostering accountability for customer, operational, and financial outcomes.
    • Drive achievement of annual revenue targets, profitability objectives, and broader financial commitments.
    • Partner closely with field sales and sales leadership to support revenue growth, market share expansion, customer relationships, and lifecycle sales opportunities.
    • Work with senior data center leadership to establish and execute strategic plans for the MTDC and cloud-compute market, supporting sustainable year-over-year growth.
    • Collaborate with project controls, field project engineering, manufacturing divisions, engineering services, and other functions to ensure alignment with customer requirements and project objectives.
    • Continuously improve PMO processes, procedures, operating models, and digital tools to increase productivity, visibility, consistency, and profitable growth.
    • Apply continuous-improvement principles and digital solutions to streamline project execution and improve organizational performance.
    • Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performing program leaders and project managers while strengthening the organization's leadership pipeline.
    • Support recruiting initiatives and develop a diverse talent pipeline aligned with current and future business requirements.
    • Foster leadership engagement, succession planning, mentorship, and professional development throughout the organization.
    • Manage strategic staffing-partner relationships supporting data center site representative programs and contract Statement of Work resources.
    • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while supporting sales teams in building and expanding strategic accounts.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate, division, and organizational policies, procedures, and applicable operational standards.
    • Manage departmental budgets, including travel, entertainment, staffing, and other operating expenses.
    • Support the management of order financials, including Z accounts, customer claims, and related commercial considerations.
    • Anticipate market opportunities, operational risks, and business challenges and develop strategies that strengthen competitive positioning.
    • Establish clear direction, set stretch goals, monitor performance, and drive teams toward consistently meeting or exceeding objectives.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
      • Minimum 8 years of experience in capital project program management, field sales, marketing, or a closely related discipline.
      • Minimum 5 years of direct data center market experience.
      • A valid driver's license.
      • Experience within the electrical industry, major project construction, data centers, or related infrastructure environments is strongly preferred.
      • A bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
      • Approximately 10 years of experience in field sales, project management, and/or marketing within the electrical industry is preferred.
      • Strong understanding of the data center market, major project construction, and the commercial and operational dynamics of complex infrastructure projects.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and adjust organizational strategy in response to changing business conditions and market opportunities.
      • Proven ability to anticipate future opportunities and risks and develop strategies that create competitive advantage.
      • Strong project management capabilities and experience managing complex, multi-functional initiatives.
      • Demonstrated ability to create, communicate, and execute strategic plans that provide clear direction and improve team performance.
      • Proven ability to establish, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, both internally and externally.
      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to make timely decisions when multiple alternatives exist.
      • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
      • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a dynamic business environment.
      • Ability to develop and manage complex budgets while maintaining alignment with broader business objectives.
      • Demonstrated record of establishing ambitious goals and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, manufacturing, project controls, and other functions.
      • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future corporate sponsorship.
      • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
      • No relocation assistance is offered for this position. Active-duty military service members are exempt from the applicable geographic limitation.

        • Target total compensation range of $187,500–$275,000, including base pay and target sales performance incentive.
