Multi-Discipline Project Manager, Defence

Accountabilities:

• • Lead multi-discipline engineering and infrastructure projects as the prime consultant for Defence and federal government clients, taking ownership from project initiation through successful close-out.
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, and close projects in accordance with client requirements, contractual obligations, quality standards, and internal processes.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams spanning civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, environmental, and other specialized disciplines as required.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, deliverables, changes, and client expectations while maintaining strong control over project outcomes.
  • Prepare and review proposals, work plans, budgets, schedules, progress reports, technical documentation, and other project deliverables.
  • Lead client and project meetings, provide clear progress updates, address issues, and facilitate timely decisions and resolution of project challenges.
  • Coordinate internal resources, subconsultants, contractors, and project partners to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, technical teams, internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.
  • Support contract administration, site reviews, project reporting, invoicing, billing, and project close-out activities as required.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong health and safety culture across all aspects of project delivery.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining high standards of organization, communication, quality, and client service.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen project delivery practices, processes, and collaboration.

  Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-graduation professional experience, including at least 5 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering, infrastructure, buildings, institutional, federal, Defence, or consulting projects.
  • Proven ability to coordinate internal technical teams and external subconsultants across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience working with Defence Construction Canada, the Department of National Defence, federal government, institutional clients, or secure infrastructure projects is a strong asset.
  • Professional designation, eligibility for professional registration, or project management certification is considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, scheduling, budgeting, quality management, change management, risk management, and project controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to remain effective in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong client-service orientation and the ability to manage expectations while maintaining trusted professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to coordinate diverse project teams toward shared objectives.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability, collaboration, and delivery discipline.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings when required.
  • Willingness and ability to support projects across Canada.
