About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Architect, design, and develop high-quality native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit for mission-critical emergency response workflows.
    • Design and implement offline-first mobile architectures that maintain reliable functionality in low-connectivity and challenging field environments.
    • Develop and maintain mobile integrations with RESTful APIs, including data synchronization, JSON processing, authentication, and authorization.
    • Establish and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines, coding standards, code review practices, testing frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
    • Lead technical initiatives across mobile development and contribute to architectural decisions and the long-term mobile technology roadmap.
    • Collaborate with product managers to understand customer requirements and independently translate them into scalable, reliable technical solutions.
    • Work effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams distributed across US and India time zones.
    • Mentor developers on mobile engineering best practices, architecture, development workflows, and the technology stack.
    • Lead sprint planning, technical estimation, velocity tracking, and other development planning activities.
    • Use diagnostic and monitoring tools such as Luciq and Firebase to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-facing issues.
    • Drive performance optimization, debugging, memory management, and overall application reliability.
    • Contribute to the delivery of mobile applications across iOS and Android through shared-code strategies and collaboration with Android development teams.
    • Requirements:

      • 10+ years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications, with advanced proficiency in Swift.
      • Strong expertise with Swift 5.x, SwiftUI, UIKit, CoreData, CoreLocation, and iOS Background Tasks.
      • Proven experience designing and delivering mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications.
      • Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, particularly MVVM and Clean Architecture.
      • Experience integrating RESTful services, handling JSON data, implementing data synchronization, and working with secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
      • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and memory management capabilities.
      • Experience with Xcode, Git, Figma, and TestFlight.
      • Experience building mobile CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or comparable automation tools.
      • Experience with XCTest and automated UI testing frameworks.
      • Exposure to Android development, including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android architecture components, with an understanding of how mobile products can be delivered across both iOS and Android using shared code.
      • Ability to work independently with product managers and translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly within distributed and cross-functional teams.
      • Experience leading mobile development initiatives and establishing engineering best practices is highly desirable.
      • Ability to troubleshoot customer issues using application monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Luciq or Firebase.
      • Must be authorized to work for any US employer; visa sponsorship or transfer of employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
      • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required as a condition of employment.
