What you'll do:
- Responsible for the technical development, coding, and design of modifications or extensions (functions, forms, and reports) to the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain (F&O), specifically the Procurement and Sales cycles.
- Provide support and expertise for coding, unit testing, and creating technical documentation for Microsoft Dynamics based solutions, setting up security measures and permissions, and participating in system and acceptance testing.
- Gain understanding of the business' needs, cooperates with Consultants in designing a solution for the business needs and requirements, and collaborates with other support teams to complete design and testing documentation.
- Test modifications for the validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established standards.
- May be tasked with additional development tasks such as: developing data migration procedures to integrate Microsoft Dynamics Solutions to other systems.
- Designs, develops, and maintains integrations between Dynamics 365 F&O and third-party or legacy systems, leveraging middleware platforms to ensure reliable, scalable, and monitored data flows.
- Solid understanding of API design and consumption (REST/SOAP web services, JSON/XML payloads), authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, Azure AD service principals), and secure data exchange practices.
- Strong proficiency in X++ development, including the Dynamics 365 F&O extension model (Chain of Command, event handlers), data manipulation and set-based operations, and core application frameworks such as SysOperation, Data Management Framework (DMF), and the security framework.
Who we are looking for:
- 5+ years of technical development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain (formerly AX)
- Hands-on experience specifically within the Procurement and Sales cycles
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O development using best practices
- Unit testing planning and execution
- Core Microsoft Dynamics Application knowledge
- Visual Studio Code proficiency
- Basic Azure knowledge
- Azure Functions development and integration
- Microsoft Power Platform: Flow (Power Automate), PowerApps, PowerBI
- Web Services integration
- Familiarity with interfacing and connected systems
- Understanding of key Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) within the Dynamics ecosystem
- Able to work independently and proactively
