About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Design and maintain graph schemas, defining node labels and edge types that accurately represent relationships among designers, garments, style attributes, trends, occasions, and editorial content.
    • Build batch ingestion workflows that consume structured JSON payloads and load relevant entities and relationships into the graph database.
    • Develop entity resolution processes to match extracted product mentions with the appropriate products across catalogs containing 50,000+ SKUs, using attribute scoring, confidence thresholds, and deduplication techniques.
    • Establish relationship weights based on the prominence of products or trends within editorial content, helping determine ranking and prioritization in AI-generated recommendations.
    • Develop, optimize, and maintain openCypher queries, including multi-hop traversals, with a focus on achieving response times below three seconds for downstream AI agents.
    • Collaborate with machine learning and generative AI specialists to align the graph structure, retrieval capabilities, and data models with recommendation requirements.
    • Contribute to technical validation and interviews for new professionals joining the graph database workstream when required.

      • Experience designing graph schemas and evaluating trade-offs between alternative modeling approaches.
      • Hands-on experience developing entity resolution solutions, including fuzzy matching, scoring algorithms, and deduplication across multiple data sources.
      • Strong Python skills applied to data engineering and batch processing of structured data.
      • Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical deliverables, and operate effectively in a fast-paced staff augmentation environment.
      • Experience in fashion, retail, or e-commerce catalogs is considered a plus.
      • AWS certification in databases or data analytics is desirable.
      • Experience integrating graph databases with generative AI agents, such as Amazon Bedrock Agents, is an advantage.
      • Familiarity with recommendation systems or ranking and weighting logic for content surfacing is a plus.
