- Evaluate marketing processes and apply sound business judgment to determine which workflows should be automated and where automation will create the greatest impact.
- Instrument automation and AI systems to track usage, output quality, performance, and business value, using feedback to continuously improve their effectiveness.
- Establish consistent definitions for core marketing concepts such as territories, lead-scoring stages, MQLs, MQAs, pipeline stages, and targets across tools, dashboards, agents, and product lines.
- Own the marketing technology stack, including configuration, administration, integrations, and ongoing improvements, while enabling campaign teams to handle routine changes independently.
- Build and maintain production-grade integrations and automations using platforms such as Clay, Zapier, Workato, n8n, or comparable technologies.
- Develop reliable data and workflow infrastructure that can operate unattended, with appropriate monitoring and safeguards to identify failures before they impact business operations.
- Collaborate closely with marketing operations and broader go-to-market stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Improve engineering practices within marketing technology by introducing version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, shared repositories, and maintainable development processes.
- Help advance the use of AI across marketing workflows by identifying opportunities to increase speed, quality, leverage, and operational efficiency.
- Previous professional experience in marketing or marketing operations is required, with a strong understanding of marketing funnels, attribution, lead scoring, campaign execution, deliverability, list hygiene, and consent practices.
- Demonstrated experience building and operating production automation within a go-to-market or marketing function, using tools such as Clay, Zapier, Workato, n8n, or similar platforms.
- Experience owning unattended systems, pipelines, integrations, or AI agents, including diagnosing failures, validating outputs, and implementing monitoring and safeguards.
- Evidence of progressing from no-code or low-code automation into software engineering practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, CI, and deployment through shared repositories.
- Working proficiency in SQL and Python, with solid REST API fundamentals and an understanding of secure secrets and credential management.
- Familiarity with data warehouses such as BigQuery and the ability to query, interpret, and reason about data models.
- Hands-on experience administering and integrating HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of how marketing technology, data, automation, and AI systems interact within a broader GTM ecosystem.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a mindset focused on verifying system outputs rather than relying solely on successful execution statuses.
- Experience with Claude or n8n is a plus.
- Experience developing multi-step enrichment workflows in Clay or comparable platforms is advantageous.
- Exposure to observability and data-quality practices, including monitoring, alerting, data freshness, and anomaly detection, is highly valued.
- Experience supporting multiple product lines or business motions where data and metrics must remain consistent across systems is a plus.
- Strong ownership, judgment, communication, adaptability, and comfort working in an environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Demonstrated AI fluency and the ability to use AI tools to accelerate workflows, structure problems, improve quality, and increase technical leverage.
- Remote-first environment: Work remotely as part of a distributed marketing operations team.
- High ownership: Significant autonomy and responsibility for systems that directly influence marketing operations and business performance.
- Professional growth: Exposure to emerging AI technologies, agentic workflows, marketing automation, data infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
- Mission-driven work: Contribute to technology and systems supporting a broader mission focused on safety, security, and combating financial and other forms of crime.
- Collaborative culture: Work closely with marketing, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders in a high-velocity environment.
- Learning environment: Opportunities to experiment, develop new technical capabilities, and continuously improve how AI and automation are applied to marketing.
