About the role
Accountabilities:
- Develop communications and outreach strategies by defining target audiences, key messages, communication channels, tactics, and calls to action.
- Establish communications infrastructure for new initiatives, including websites, provider portals, branding standards, templates, workflows, and supporting resources.
- Write, edit, and refine newsletters, website content, educational materials, onboarding resources, one-pagers, brochures, email campaigns, social media content, and other communications.
- Translate complex health care, programmatic, and technical information into clear, accessible, and audience-centered messaging.
- Ensure communications materials consistently follow organizational standards, brand guidelines, accessibility considerations, and design best practices.
- Create content tailored to diverse audiences, including health care professionals, patients, families, caregivers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain team workspaces, project information, and communications workflows using platforms such as SharePoint, Asana, and Google Workspace.
- Coordinate multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, managing contributors, deadlines, reviews, approvals, and deliverables.
- Work independently on smaller communications projects while collaborating with senior strategists and leadership on larger initiatives.
- Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to develop accurate, useful, and engaging communications.
- Bring structure and clarity to new initiatives by establishing practical communication approaches, processes, and workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, health education, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in communications, health care marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, health education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing communications or outreach strategies and translating them into effective content and campaigns.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex information understandable, concise, and engaging for different audiences.
- Experience producing content across multiple print and digital channels.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, contributors, deadlines, and approvals.
- Excellent judgment and attention to detail, particularly when working with sensitive, technical, or health-related information.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment.
- Experience in health care, public health, human services, or another mission-driven environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting government contracts, grants, or partner-based initiatives is an advantage.
- Experience communicating with health care professionals, consumers, caregivers, or community partners is preferred.
- Experience developing websites, newsletters, email campaigns, templates, or partner outreach materials is beneficial.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Asana, HubSpot, Google Workspace, content management systems, and email marketing platforms is a plus.
- Adaptability and a generalist mindset, with the ability to both develop communication approaches and execute the resulting work.
- Must maintain licensure eligibility for assigned state contracts where applicable.
- Reliable and secure internet access is required for this fully remote position.
- Salary: $70,000–$91,350 annually.
