Responsibilities

  • Identify and define business and product problems, analyze data, and drive improvements in Meta's product business via a focus on the quality and performance of its products and operations
  • Leverage data to understand products in depth, identify areas of opportunity, and execute projects to drive growth and engagement through effective modeling and collaboration
  • Expand or implement new products based on statistical analysis and execute projects to drive growth and engagement of Meta users
  • Formulate mathematical models and collaborate with senior managers and business stakeholders to drive projects focusing on new user growth, mobile usage, and revenue
  • Work closely with design, product, engineering, and data teams to evaluate potential issues from product growth through customer feedback collection and efficient resolution
  • Work on core Meta products like news feed, notifications, and mobile, as well as offsite marketing channels like SEO, SEM, and email to identify expansion opportunities using data sets and predictive modeling
  • Use tools like Hadoop/Hive, Oracle, ETL, R, PHP, Python, Excel, MicroStrategy, and internal tools to work efficiently at scale
  • Advise personnel on impacts of various courses of action during product expansion or modification through detailed analyses
  • Perform statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, and other methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions
  • Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to analyze and enhance product performance
  • Use quantitative analysis, multivariate testing, and data-driven insights to inform decisions and drive growth
  • Communicate findings to influence leadership, employ SQL for analysis, and implement frameworks to improve user engagement, product quality, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
  • 1 year of experience in statistical analysis, observational/trend analysis, and advanced Excel
