What this job can offer you
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global payroll space as a Manager, Global Payroll Implementation, joining our Payroll Implementation team. As a dynamic and detail-oriented leader, you’ll oversee a team of Global Payroll Leads responsible for the successful onboarding and implementation of new client payrolls across multiple countries. You’ll provide strategic direction, coaching, and operational oversight to ensure payroll implementations are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time — all while driving consistency, efficiency, and innovation in our processes. You will report to the Senior Director, Payroll Implementation and play a key role in connecting the dots between Sales, Payroll Operations, Product, and Client Experience to ensure seamless transitions from implementation to business-as-usual.
What you bring
- Extensive experience managing global or regional payroll implementations in a complex, high-growth environment.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, from onboarding to compliance handover.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and empower high-performing teams — you value autonomy and avoid micromanagement.
- Strong project management and organisational skills; capable of balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities — able to explain technical or regulatory topics clearly and confidently.
- Experience driving process improvement and working with payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, or similar) and tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
- Analytical and solutions-focused mindset — you enjoy solving operational challenges and making systems better.
- Comfortable working asynchronously in a distributed, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Prior experience working remotely is not required but considered an advantage.
- Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
