About the role
Accountabilities
- Manage ongoing relationships with multiple pharmaceutical clients, serving as a trusted point of contact for government pricing questions, issues, and escalations.
- Review and approve client billings and ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and ready for professional and executive audiences.
- Calculate and file government prices for federal drug programs, including BP, AMP, ASP, PHS/340B, NFAMP, FCP/FSS, IFF, and URA.
- Apply advanced government pricing concepts, including bundles, discount reallocation, pro-ration, smoothing, and other complex pricing methodologies.
- Lead the preparation, review, and approval of price calculation reports and communicate results and findings effectively to clients.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly source-data reconciliation and review sales data used in government pricing calculations.
- Ensure required pricing reports and submissions are completed accurately and within applicable government deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer Class of Trade assignments in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure 340B/PHS prices are appropriately calculated, available for pricing, and maintained in compliance with federal requirements.
- Lead client price calculation and restatement initiatives when required, coordinating analysis, documentation, and delivery.
- Manage, mentor, and develop government program analysts, providing technical guidance, feedback, and support.
- Monitor changes in the life sciences commercial and regulatory environment and translate relevant developments into practical guidance for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain deep subject matter expertise in government program regulations and share knowledge with direct reports and peer teams.
- Promote compliant, efficient, and scalable practices while identifying opportunities to improve processes and service quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent applicable business experience.
- 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with substantial experience working with state and federal pricing, reporting, and rebate programs.
- Strong knowledge of government pricing regulations and programs relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturers and federal drug reimbursement.
- Demonstrated experience working in highly regulated, deadline-driven environments with multiple concurrent client assignments.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing responsibilities across functional areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pricing and regulatory concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy when preparing client-facing and regulatory deliverables.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members and developing the capabilities of analysts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; advanced Excel capabilities such as pivot tables and data importing are preferred.
- Ability to learn and effectively use standard industry systems and technology environments.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and operational requirements while applying strong industry practices.
- Strong analytical judgment, problem-solving skills, professionalism, and client-service orientation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate respectfully with diverse stakeholders.
- Curiosity and willingness to adopt improved processes, technologies, and thoughtful AI-enabled tools where they can enhance efficiency and quality.
- Base salary range of $102,900–$154,300, depending on relevant experience, education, certifications, location, training, and other qualifications.
