About the role
Accountabilities
- Lead the design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of leadership development and manager training programs designed to strengthen leadership effectiveness and organizational performance.
- Oversee new employee orientation, ensuring a consistent, inclusive, and mission-aligned introduction to organizational culture, values, expectations, and ways of working.
- Develop and maintain customer service training programs that improve member experiences, reinforce service standards, and strengthen organizational knowledge and capabilities.
- Partner with subject matter experts, leaders, and cross-functional teams to assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and develop scalable training solutions.
- Design and implement evaluation tools, feedback surveys, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure participation, learning outcomes, program effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create engaging learning experiences using virtual, instructor-led, self-paced, and blended learning approaches optimized for a distributed workforce.
- Develop, maintain, and manage training content and materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, accessibility, and alignment with organizational policies, messaging, and competency frameworks.
- Establish standardized processes, tools, procedures, and learning practices that maximize adult learning effectiveness in a virtual environment.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to executive leadership regarding participation trends, workforce capability, program outcomes, and future development priorities.
- Manage professional development processes and identify opportunities to increase the value of learning programs while controlling costs through internal content development and effective use of existing resources.
- Manage relevant budgets, vendors, learning technologies, and external training partnerships as required.
- Recommend and implement innovative enhancements to learning programs based on emerging industry trends, employee feedback, organizational priorities, and performance data.
- Proactively manage projects, communications, timelines, and stakeholder expectations to ensure learning initiatives are delivered effectively and on schedule.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, belonging, development, and professional growth across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related discipline, combined with at least 5 years of relevant experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within learning and development, training, organizational development, or a closely related function.
- 5+ years of experience assessing training needs and designing, delivering, and evaluating programs in a virtual or distributed learning environment.
- Strong experience with adult learning theory, instructional design, content development, facilitation methodologies, and talent development practices.
- Epic Super User experience or strong knowledge of Epic backend systems and workflows is highly preferred.
- Advanced experience with Articulate 360 or Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to design and deploy large-scale learning and development initiatives across multiple organizational levels.
- Strong proficiency with learning technologies and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Demonstrated experience with budget ownership, vendor management, and/or measuring the impact and effectiveness of learning programs.
- Strong executive presence, with the ability to communicate with, facilitate for, and present recommendations to C-suite executives and large audiences.
- Experience designing and facilitating feedback surveys, analyzing results, prioritizing findings, and translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent organization, planning, time management, prioritization, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams while maintaining a professional, positive, and service-oriented approach.
- Experience supporting a diverse, multi-generational workforce and creating inclusive learning experiences.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and maintain consistent execution in a fully remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 15% when required for organizational or member-related activities.
- Ability to work effectively from a distraction-free home office with reliable high-speed internet and participate in virtual meetings using video.
- Base salary range of $89,836–$143,737 per year, with final compensation determined by relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
