Purpose of the Position

The Manager, Career Services coaches, develops, and empowers individuals and teams responsible for providing personalized career guidance, connecting qualified candidates with job opportunities, and nurturing relationships with employers and alumni. They foster a sense of purpose, growth, and support, by contributing to a positive organizational culture.

What You’ll Do

  1. Drive Team Productivity and Quality: Ensure efficient and effective daily conversion of interviews, hires, and placements. Monitor and enhance team performance to meet quality standards.
  2. Student and Alumni Support Management: Manage communication, forecasting, and support for UMA’s current students, graduating students, and alumni. Provide personalized guidance to help them navigate their career paths.
  3. Graduate Career Development: Guide graduates through the entire interview and hiring process with multiple Allied Healthcare employers: Prepare graduates for interviews; Facilitate interview attendance; Assist with job offers and onboarding; Support graduates in their new roles.
  4. Customer Service and Relationship Building: Handle manager-level customer service, re-engagement, and de-escalation calls, as necessary. Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including students, alumni, and employers.
  5. Team Member Call Monitoring: Conduct regular coaching sessions, monitor calls, and provide one-on-one development for all assigned team members.
  6. Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in recruiting, career services, employment assistance, or sales.
