About the role
Accountabilities:
- Assist with the intake, administration, and tracking of employee leave requests, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and short-term disability.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees about documentation requirements, timelines, leave status, and next steps.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date leave records within HR systems and related tracking tools.
- Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, HR Business Partners, and People Relations teams to support accurate leave processing and benefit continuation.
- Monitor leave timelines and follow up on required certifications, return-to-work documentation, extensions, and other outstanding information.
- Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding leave policies, procedures, and administrative requirements.
- Develop familiarity with applicable federal and state leave regulations and internal policies to support consistent and compliant case administration.
- Assist with reporting and analysis related to leave volumes, trends, and other HR metrics.
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and service.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in HR, benefits, employee services, or administrative support; prior leave administration experience is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and other employee leave policies is beneficial, with additional training provided.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to employee interactions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working with HRIS platforms, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional HR teams.
- Must be able to work from within the United States and remain available five days per week during designated working hours.
- Fully remote position for candidates located in the United States, with no regular in-office requirement.
- Base salary range of $49,200–$70,300 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
- Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
