About the role
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Key Account Sales Director with a proven track record in selling enterprise databases to expand our customer base throughout India. The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles with enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Aggressively build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across India
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to exceed revenue targets
- Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers
- Collaborate with pre-sales, product, and marketing teams to create compelling solutions
- Represent TiDB at industry events, conferences, and user groups
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape product roadmap
- A self-starter with a growth mindset who embraces challenges and continuously seeks improvement
- A team player who collaborates effectively while maintaining individual accountability
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities
- Strategic thinker who can build long-term relationships while delivering short-term results
- An individual who approaches the market with creativity and determination
Qualifications
- 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 5 years specifically selling database, data infrastructure, or related enterprise software solutions
- Proven hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to identify and capture new business
- Consistent record of exceeding sales targets and quotas
- A strong understanding of database technologies, cloud infrastructure, and data management challenges is highly preferred
- Experience selling to technical buyers
