Responsibilities

• Challenge advanced language models on topics like contextual interpretation, tone and meaning, dialectical distinctions, semantic accuracy, and cultural nuance
• Converse with the model in K'iche' across a wide range of topics
• Verify linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance
• Capture reproducible error traces
• Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Translation, or a related field (ideal)
• Professional experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community work
• Clear, metacognitive communication—'showing your work'—is essential

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range of $8-to-$65 per hour, determined after evaluating experience, expertise, and geographic location
• Contract position
• Must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet
