Junior Accountant

Accountabilities:

• • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices based on contracts, billing terms, and internal policies.
  • Review customer, contract, and billing information to ensure records are complete, accurate, and up to date across financial systems.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities and conduct timely, professional follow-ups on outstanding balances to support healthy cash flow.
  • Respond to customer billing questions and work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to resolve discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Provide backup support for vendor invoice and payment inquiries, including accounts payable activities when required.
  • Assist with AR aging analysis, cash collection reporting, and other financial reports used by management.
  • Support month-end close processes, including account reconciliations, revenue checks, and variance analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify accounting workflows, improve data accuracy, and reduce manual work.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of financial automation and technology solutions that improve Finance team efficiency.
  • Use internal procurement and financial technology in daily workflows while providing feedback that can inform future product and process improvements.

  Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar Finance or accounting role, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and consistency when handling financial information.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and customers.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, particularly Excel or Google Sheets, and motivated to develop proficiency with accounting and CRM systems such as Sage Intacct and Salesforce.
  • Proactive and accountable approach, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and reliably follow through.
  • Curious mindset and willingness to understand how financial systems work and identify faster, more effective ways of completing tasks.
  • Interest in using emerging technologies, automation, and AI tools such as Claude or Gemini to improve financial workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Strong interest in developing a long-term career in accounting and Finance within a supportive and collaborative team.
