Role
We are looking for a Java Backend Engineering Lead to lead and grow our backend engineering team, drive technical architecture, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
- Mentor and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Define and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and deliverables.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and system design to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with Java.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
