Role

We are looking for a Java Backend Engineering Lead to lead and grow our backend engineering team, drive technical architecture, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
• Mentor and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Define and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and deliverables.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and system design to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with Java.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
