8am is looking for a IT Support Specialist to join our distributed IT team based in the Czech Republic. This role provides tier 1–2 technical support, identity and endpoint management, and cross-regional coordination for a globally distributed workforce, working closely with the core IT team (based in the U.S.) to ensure consistent, high-quality support coverage across time zones.
This role is hired through an Employer of Record (EOR) partner in the Czech Republic.

What you'll do
- Endpoint Management - Handle regional end-to-end device inventory management across the EMEA, including oversight of the existing laptop fleet and provisioning of new inventory, and the full device lifecycle (packaging, shipping, receiving, recovery, and decommissioning/recycling of hardware).
- Own and resolve helpdesk tickets (via Atera) for employees and contractors across EMEA and other regions, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Manage user identity and access lifecycle in Okta — provisioning, deprovisioning, group membership, and access request workflows.
- Administer and troubleshoot endpoint management (Iru/Intune), including deployment scripts, compliance monitoring, and application allow/block-listing.
- Support secure network access for remote users via Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), troubleshooting connectivity and access issues.
- Provide day-to-day support for Google Workspace across the organization.
- Coordinate onboarding/offboarding logistics for EMEA-based employees and contractors, including equipment shipping and account provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Maintain and improve internal knowledge base articles to support ticket deflection and self-service.
- Collaborate with the broader IT team on cross-regional projects and process improvements, providing overlap coverage during U.S. Central Time business hours.
About you
- 3+ years of experience in IT support/helpdesk roles, ideally within a SaaS or technology company.
- Hands-on experience with an identity provider (Okta or similar), an MDM/endpoint management tool (Kandji, Jamf, or similar), and a ticketing/PSA platform (Atera or similar).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust network access tools (Zscaler or similar) is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English required for collaboration with a globally distributed team; Czech fluency preferred for local coordination.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; capable of working autonomously in a remote-first environment.
- Willingness to maintain some overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours for team collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
- This position is preferably based in Brno, Czech Republic.
