About the role
Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance fully functional iOS applications using clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Design and implement new mobile features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Create and execute unit tests and UI tests to identify defects and ensure application reliability.
- Support the complete application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, release, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
- Analyze product requirements, identify technical solutions, and recommend improvements that enhance the overall user experience.
- Debug and optimize mobile applications to improve performance, stability, responsiveness, and usability.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to plan, prioritize, and deliver new functionality.
- Maintain legacy applications and identify opportunities to improve, modernize, or replace outdated components.
- Ensure applications comply with established engineering, quality, and performance standards.
- Research emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, tools, and development practices and assess their potential value.
- Contribute ideas for new features, applications, integrations, and technical approaches that can improve the mobile product experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience working as an iOS Developer or in a closely related mobile development role.
- Demonstrated experience publishing mobile applications through the Apple App Store.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.
- Hands-on experience working with third-party libraries, SDKs, and APIs.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Good understanding of mobile application development, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic development environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Experience with chat or streaming applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with mobile analytics and tracking tools, such as Firebase Analytics, is advantageous.
- Experience with WebRTC is a plus.
- Familiarity with WebSocket-based communication is advantageous.
- Strong UI/UX awareness and a good eye for mobile interface quality are desirable.
- Passion for mobile platforms and an interest in keeping up with evolving technologies and development trends.
