About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and systems supporting application development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
    • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Vault, and containerized environments.
    • Develop software and infrastructure automation that improves platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
    • Partner closely with software engineers to create a robust “you build it, you run it” engineering model supported by reliable infrastructure and tooling.
    • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, including YAML-based configuration and automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
    • Build and manage Docker/OCI container images and their deployment into Kubernetes environments.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority production incidents, coordinating with engineering teams and driving issues through to permanent resolution.
    • Facilitate postmortems and conduct root-cause analysis to identify systemic improvements and prevent recurring incidents.
    • Continuously evaluate architecture, infrastructure performance, stability, developer experience, and operational processes.
    • Automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual maintenance to create more scalable and resilient infrastructure.
    • Contribute to engineering best practices around testing, code reviews, deployment processes, GitOps, and resilient architecture.
    • Take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure initiatives, from architecture and implementation through ongoing support and optimization.
    • Requirements:

      • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, fintech, SaaS, or a similar technology environment, with demonstrated ownership of build and deployment infrastructure.
      • Proven experience working within a small, collaborative engineering team where you can independently own projects and operational responsibilities.
      • Strong understanding of YAML-based CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or comparable platforms.
      • Hands-on experience building and deploying Docker/OCI container images to Kubernetes environments.
      • Practical experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
      • Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure/security tooling such as Vault.
      • Ability to program or script in a language such as Ruby, Go, or Elixir; familiarity with Elixir is a plus.
      • Solid understanding of modern software development and testing practices, including CI/CD and GitOps approaches.
      • Knowledge of engineering best practices covering automated testing, peer code reviews, observability, reliability, and resilient architecture.
      • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to diagnosing root causes and resolving incidents.
      • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technical requirements.
      • Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and accountability, with the ability to manage priorities without close supervision.
      • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and balancing independent work with hands-on support for engineering teammates.
      • Startup or high-growth technology experience is a plus.
      • Benefits:

        • Base salary: $130,000–$140,000 USD, with final compensation determined by experience, skills, and geographic region.
        • Remote flexibility: Remote work available across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, with EST or CST time zones preferred.
        • Flexible work schedule: Focus on impact and contribution rather than fixed working hours.
        • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays.
        • Paid Summer Fridays and paid parental leave.
        • Health & wellness: 100% medical coverage for employees, plus generous family contributions.
