Implementation Engineer, TPRM
About the role
About Us
Hyperproof is on a mission to transform the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) world with a powerful new software platform. With Hyperproof, companies can save time and money while also operating their programs at a much higher level of effectiveness and accountability. We envision a world where organizations we depend on are truly trustworthy — and Hyperproof is the platform that will get them there.
We have a great team and culture — picture yourself in a highly collaborative startup environment where you can make a real impact on something truly important. It's an exciting time to be at Hyperproof; we raised our Series B round in 2023, validating our teamwork and company vision, and we continue to grow rapidly.
As we scale our Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) product, we are looking for an Implementation Engineer to join our Customer Success organization. This is a technical customer-facing role — you will own the end-to-end onboarding of enterprise customers onto Hyperproof's TPRM platform, from requirements discovery through configuration, custom integrations, and go-live. You are equally comfortable in a customer conversation and a code editor.
Who You Are
- You are a technically strong engineer who genuinely enjoys working with customers — translating their requirements into working solutions, not just handing off specs to someone else.
- You can read a customer's existing vendor risk workflow, identify where Hyperproof fits, and build the integrations and configurations that make it real.
- You write clean, maintainable code and take pride in delivering implementations that customers can understand, operate, and build on themselves.
- You are organized and project-minded — able to manage multiple concurrent implementations, keep stakeholders aligned, and move things to closure.
- You thrive in a remote, async-first environment and communicate clearly in writing across technical and non-technical audiences.
What You'll Do
Implementation Management: Plan, Optimize, and Execute
- Scope and document implementation requirements, integration needs, and success criteria for each new TPRM customer engagement.
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects, managing relationships with customer stakeholders from kick-off through go-live and handoff to Customer Success.
- Run project kick-off meetings to align on expectations, deliverables, timelines, and technical dependencies.
- Proactively identify implementation risks — technical and organizational — and work with internal and customer teams to mitigate them.
- Manage 5+ concurrent implementation projects simultaneously, balancing technical execution with customer communication.
Consultation: Understand Customers' True Needs and Goals
- Lead discovery sessions to understand each customer's existing vendor risk management processes, data sources, and integration landscape.
- Drive current-state versus future-state analysis to document requirements and design solutions that address customers' real business needs — not just surface-level asks.
- Advise customers on TPRM best practices: vendor tiering, questionnaire design, risk scoring frameworks, and vendor lifecycle workflows.
Technical Implementation: Build, Integrate, and Configure
- Configure Hyperproof's TPRM platform to match customer workflows — vendor assessment templates, risk scoring models, approval workflows, notification rules, and reporting.
- Build and maintain API integrations between Hyperproof and customer systems — including procurement platforms, GRC tools, identity providers, and internal data sources — using Hyperproof's REST APIs and webhooks.
- Write scripts and automation to support data migration, transformation, and synchronization between customer systems and Hyperproof.
