About the role
Accountabilities
- Serve as the HEOR lead for a key therapeutic franchise, building strong partnerships with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.
- Develop fit-for-purpose HEOR strategies for pipeline and in-line products, ensuring appropriate evidence is generated for the right decision-makers at the right stages of the product lifecycle.
- Represent HEOR in cross-functional forums, including asset teams and commercial and medical meetings, ensuring HEOR priorities remain aligned with broader product and brand strategies.
- Lead and oversee the design and execution of HEOR research projects, including study design, protocol development, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of findings.
- Apply a broad range of HEOR methodologies, including secondary database research using claims, EHRs, and registries, pharmacoeconomic modeling, systematic literature reviews, and evidence synthesis.
- Collaborate with external key opinion leaders and thought leaders on study development, research execution, interpretation, and publication activities.
- Translate clinical, economic, and real-world evidence into clear and compelling value narratives for internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Partner with Marketing, Market Access, and Medical teams to develop field-facing materials using HEOR evidence in accordance with applicable FDA guidance, including healthcare economic information requirements.
- Manage assigned HEOR budgets, timelines, deliverables, and external partners while proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions.
- Provide HEOR thought leadership across additional franchise and pipeline priorities as business needs evolve.
- Communicate complex research and strategic recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and facilitate alignment across diverse teams.
- Master’s degree in Health Services Research, Pharmacoepidemiology, Public Health, or a related discipline such as an MS or MPH.
- At least 7 years of relevant HEOR experience, or 10 years of relevant experience with a Master’s-level degree, with demonstrated work across multiple HEOR methodologies.
- Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and overseeing HEOR research programs.
- Strong technical expertise in secondary database research, including claims, electronic health records, and registry data.
- Experience with pharmacoeconomic modeling, systematic literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and related health outcomes research methodologies.
- Strong understanding of the US healthcare, payer, health technology assessment, and regulatory landscapes.
- Knowledge of drug development processes and the role of HEOR across different stages of the product lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex HEOR concepts and research findings into clear strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build alignment among Commercial, Medical, Market Access, R&D, and other stakeholders.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, manage budgets and timelines, identify risks, and proactively develop solutions.
- Self-directed and highly organized, with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
- High level of scientific rigor, urgency, accountability, and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–30% as required.
- Annual base salary range of $172,000–$287,000, with actual compensation based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
