Lemon.io is building the product that changes that, providing recruiters with qualified, vetted candidates within 24 hours. This is a pivotal moment: transitioning from a services-driven marketplace to a technology-driven platform.

The Role

You will own engineering at Lemon.io, leading a growing team of engineers, making critical architecture and prioritization decisions, and being directly accountable for the speed and quality of shipped products. This is a hands-on role with direct involvement in product decisions and working alongside the founder.

What You'll Do

• Own the technical roadmap and ensure every engineering effort maps directly to business impact
• Lead and grow an engineering team that ships fast, iterates constantly, and treats complexity as a cost
• Tackle multi-layered problems: automated vetting, intelligent matching at scale, and demand-side bottlenecks
• Make hard prioritization calls about what to build, skip, and kill
• Work directly with the founder and product team to define success before writing code
• Build an engineering culture emphasizing high ownership, high speed, and low bureaucracy

Experience Required

• Led engineering teams (5–30+ people) at a startup or high-growth company
• Hands-on experience with modern stacks and comfort with AI/ML tooling
