About the role

Who You Are: You are the kind of designer who gets a thrill from seeing your work on a shelf, in a mailbox, or ten feet tall at an event. You're fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI programs. You're organized down to your file names: a dozen projects can be in flight and you still hit your deadlines and catch the details others miss. You take feedback as fuel, share credit generously, and jump in wherever the team needs hands.

The Task At Hand: This role brings the Once Upon a Farm brand to life everywhere parents and kids meet us — on the shelf, in the cooler, in the mailbox, on the phone, and out in the world. You’ll concept and design packaging, print, and digital work across a growing portfolio and a fast-expanding retail footprint. This is a hands-on maker’s role with real range: one week you’re concepting new package artwork, the next you’re checking press files or building signage for a live activation. If you want your work in front of millions of families nationwide, this is the seat. This role reports to the VP of Creative + Community on the Marketing Team.

In This Role, You Will

Print Design

Design signage for retail stores and out-of-home media, from cooler and shelf graphics to billboards and transit

Design any other print items as needed for the brand

Creative Packaging Design

Lead creative concepting for package artwork across cartons, pouches, labels, film, and cases

Concept and iterate rapidly with emerging design & AI tools, bringing packaging ideas to life without compromising brand accuracy, craft, or premium feel.

Update older package designs with new interpretations of our look and feel, keeping the portfolio cohesive as the brand evolves

Digital Design

Design assets for retail partners, including sell-in materials, sell-sheets, coupons, and shopper marketing creative

Work with the Digital Graphic Designer as needed to help design ads, social media graphics, and email creative that stop the scroll and still feel unmistakably us

Build and maintain templates and design systems so the team can move fast without drifting off brand

Design any other digital items as needed for the brand

Production & Vendor Relations

Communicate with printers and print vendors on bids, file uploads, and press checks

Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional partners to deliver press-ready and digital-ready files on spec and on time

Guide freelance designers and illustrators with creative briefs and reviews that help them be efficient and successful

Brand Guidelines & Team Collaboration

Understand and apply brand guidelines across every asset — and help push them forward with regular updates to our Brand Guideline file

Partner with creative teammates, brand, sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to turn briefs into work that hits the business objective, and turn projects around quickly based on feedback

Bring ideas beyond the brief — concepts for campaigns, packaging, and brand moments we haven’t thought of yet

Work on multiple projects at once and consistently meet draft deadlines

Organize and maintain all assets and working files

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You

3+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in CPG, food and beverage, or a fast-growing consumer brand

BA in Graphic Design or a related field preferred; a strong portfolio matters more than the degree — please include one

Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma
