We are looking for a Graphic Designer with experience in board games, tabletop games, toys, or related consumer products to join our creative team. This role will work across the full game experience, from packaging and game boards to cards, components, instructions, and supporting materials.

Position Summary

The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing creative, high-quality artwork for Goliath's games and products. This includes packaging, game components, instruction manuals, retail displays, and other supporting graphics.

This position works closely with the Art Director, Brand Management, Project Management, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to take projects from initial concept through final production.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Creative Development

  • Design artwork for game packaging, game boards, cards, components, instruction manuals, retail displays, and supporting materials.
  • Develop creative concepts based on game themes, target audiences, and brand direction.
  • Create layouts with strong typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy.
  • Create and modify packaging dielines using existing templates and custom specifications.
  • Develop logos, icons, patterns, and other supporting graphics as needed.
  • Stay current on trends in board games, toys, packaging, entertainment, retail, and pop culture.

Production & Artwork Management

  • Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork for manufacturing.
  • Preflight, package, and organize artwork files for production.
  • Verify imagery, product descriptions, logos, legal copy, component details, and other required elements before artwork is released.
  • Ensure artwork meets packaging dielines and manufacturing specifications.
  • Maintain organized files and version control throughout the design process.
  • Assist with photo editing and image preparation as needed.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Work closely with the Art Director, Project Managers, Brand Management, Product Development, and other teams throughout the development process.
  • Manage multiple projects at different stages while balancing changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Incorporate creative and production feedback efficiently while maintaining design quality.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
